About TermVisa
A free, independent reference for exporters, importers, forwarders and sales teams who need to know whether a trade term will actually work in a given country before they quote it.
Who is behind it
TermVisa is edited by Erick Plante, a retired vice-president of international transport with a career spent moving goods between countries. TermVisa covers trade between sellers and buyers anywhere in the world. Editorial calls (for example whether a rule is 'practically hard') reflect that experience; every underlying fact is tied to a public source.
How facts are checked
- Every fact carries at least one source link and the date we last checked it.
- ✓ Verified — confirmed against an official source (customs authority, tax authority, law text or a government trade guide such as trade.gov).
- Needs review — relies on a secondary source, usually ICC's January 2025 list of national barriers (contributed by ICC national committees), or on an inference not yet confirmed in national law. We show it because it is useful, but you should confirm it.
- Unverified — not researched yet. We never guess.
- Statuses: Usable Usable with conditions Practically hard Restricted / blocked Unverified
- We describe country rules in our own words and never reproduce the text of the Incoterms® rules, which is ICC's copyright.
- Current totals: 41 verified, 31 needing review, 7 unverified.
Corrections and tips
Rules change. If you see an error or a new rule, send the official source and we will check it and log the change publicly. (Contact form opens at launch.)
Independence
TermVisa is not affiliated with ICC or any government. Sponsored listings are always labelled and never change a country's status.
