Does your trade term get a visa? Country-by-country rules for DDP, CIF, EXW and more.

Can you use DDP, CIF or EXW when trading with this country?

Some countries won't let a foreign seller clear imports, others insist cargo insurance is bought locally, and some make EXW exports a trap for the seller. TermVisa collects these country rules, in plain words, with a source link and a 'last checked' date on every fact.

Why the same trade term works in one country and fails in another

DDP

The seller takes on import clearance and taxes at destination. That fails where only locally established, registered companies may import (Brazil, for example), and gets expensive where it means a local VAT registration or resident agent.

DDP by country →

CIF / CIP

The seller buys the cargo insurance. Dozens of countries require imports to be insured locally, at least for the inland leg — so the seller's policy may not count.

CIF by country →

EXW

The buyer handles export. Where the exporter must be local (EU, UK, US routed exports, Brazil), the seller gets dragged back into the export declaration and VAT-proof problems.

EXW by country →
